Located on Lakeshore Rd adjacent to Hwy 4 about 15 km west of Port Alberni, this scenic little estuary teems with birdlife and is a recently added eBird hotspot, ‘Sproat Lake Landing.’ And don’t miss the fine beaver lodge!
Relax and enjoy splendid views of the West Bay section of Klehkoot Arm and Mount Arrowsmith in the distance. Drinkwaters Restaurant (seasonal) and Dellas Café (open year-round) offer good food and beverages.
On the other side of Hwy 4 there is an adjoining wetland, which can be viewed from spots along Kimola Rd.
From the Visitor Info Centre in Port Alberni, take Hwy 4 west for ~18 km (you will pass Sproat Lake Provincial Park on your way). Turn L onto Lakeshore Rd (there is a left-turn lane). Sproat Lake Landing is straight ahead.
