Sproat Lake Provincial Park

Sproat Lake Provincial Park is a good place to find both forest birds and waterbirds, the latter especially in fall and winter. The park bustles with campers and boaters in July and August, so nearby Fossli Provincial Park is an excellent alternative for birding the area in summer. While at Sproat Lake Provincial Park, be sure to visit the petroglyphs on your walk.
DIRECTIONS
From the Visitor Info Centre in Port Alberni, take Hwy 4 west (through Port Alberni) for ~14 km. The park’s main entrance is well signed. There are two options for parking: the boat launch parking lot or the day-use parking lot farther in; both have beach access.
